Indiana State High School Football Championships
The 37th annual Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) state football championship games will be played this Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28, in Lucas Oil Stadium to determine who will be this year’s reigning high school football champions in all five classes. Two Indianapolis-area high schools will be featured in the Class 5A game: North suburbia’s Carmel High School will face off against the east-side’s Warren Central High School in what should be a dynamite game.

Several Indianapolis area high schools will be playing in IHSAA regional football games this weekend. Games will take place on Friday, Nov. 13. Tickets are $6 per person. Matchups, times, and locations follow.

At the conclusion of the race Martin was leading NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series with 4 race victories this season, Johnson had 3, and Stewart racked up his second.

Indiana Girls' High School Basketball Championships
The 34th Annual IHSAA Girls' Basketball State Tournament will take place Saturday, March 7, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. From the eight high school teams that will participate, four will emerge as Indiana girls' basketball champions: one in each of four classes: 4A, 3A, 2A, and A. Class is based on school size, with 4A schools being the largest.

The 99th annual IHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament will get underway March 3-7 as 402 Indiana high schools compete in sectionals at 64 sites around the state.
Indy 500 Champion Helio Castroneves on Trial for Tax Evasion
The trial for Helio Castroneves, who is charged with income tax defraud and evasion, began with jury selection March 2 in a Miami, Florida, federal courtroom. Castroneves is a two-time champion of the Indianapolis 500, and a celebrity champion of the popular TV series Dancing with the Stars. The trial is expected to last up to six weeks. If found guilty, Castroneves could face up to 30 years in prison.
