From , former About.com Guide

If you're looking to get in or out of Indianapolis, your options include flying via the Indianapolis International Airport, or hopping on a Greyhound bus or an Amtrak train at the Indianapolis bus and train stations, respectively.

Indianapolis International Airport

The new Indianapolis International Airport facility, which opened in November 2008, serves more than 8 million travelers annually with an average of 170 daily nonstop flights. The airport is also the home of the world's second-largest FedEx Express operation.

The airport is located on Indy's west side at 7800 Col. H. Weir Cook Memorial Drive in Indianapolis. It can be accessed from I-70 via Exit 68, just five minutes west of I-465.

Eleven airlines fly in and out of Indianapolis International, including the following:

Valet parking service and self-service parking are both available. Self-service parking is available in the parking garage, the long-term lot, and an economy lot.

Rental cars, taxi and limousine service, commercial bus and shuttle services, public transportation via IndyGo and hotel courtesy services can all be arranged at the airport's Ground Transporation Center. You'll find the center on the first level of the parking garage.

Greyhound Bus Service

Indy's Greyhound bus station is located at 350 S. Illinois St., phone 317-267-3074. The station is open 24/7; however, Greyhound notes that its hours of operation are subject to change, so it's best to call before you go.

Tickets may be purchased at the station, by phone at 1-800-231-2222, or online.

Amtrack Train Service

Like the Greyhound station, the Amtrak Station is located at 350 S. Illinois Street. See Amtrak's website for routing and ticketing information.
