The Indiana State Fair is a summer tradition, but one that can get expensive if you aren't careful. This year the State Fair runs from August 3 - August 19. The cost of admission have raised to $10 and there is a $5 parking fee for vehicle. If you want to go the fair, there's several ways to get free admission. Buy a Midway pass and ride all day long for one low price. These helpful discounts will ensure you have a great time and walk away with a little dough left in your pocket!
1. Multi-Day Admission Pass
The State Fair is offering a special multi-day pass for the first time ever. The pass is good for one admission for up to three days throughout the fair. The pass costs $18 and is available at Indiana Walmart stores, Indiana CVS/pharmacy stores, Indiana Farm Bureau offices, The Marten House Hotel and Indiana State Fairground ticket office.
2. Midway Voucher
Walmart will offer special vouchers for midway wristbands for just $18 sold through August 19. Wristband holders will also receive a free Pepsi during their visit.
3. Meijer Day
August 6 is Meijer Day at the Indiana State Fair. Receive $1 off admission that day for Meijer customers who buy one pair of Falls Creek Jeans July 22 - August 6. Bring your Catalina coupon print from Meijer to the State Fair entrance gates for savings on August 6!
4. Free Admission Ticket in the Indianapolis Star
Make sure you buy a copy (or two) of the Indianapolis Star on Monday, August 6. That day's paper will include a ticket good for free admission to the fair on the following Wednesday and Thursday, August 8 and 9.
5. Turkey Hill Dairy $2 Tuesdays
On Tuesday August 7 and 14, visitors are admitted for just $2, compliments of Turkey Hill Dairy with voucher printed from their website.
6. $2 Taste of the State Fair
On both Tuesdays of the fair, August 7 and 14, concessionaires across the fairgrounds will have $2 servings available all day long!
7. Free Admission for all Indiana State Employees
All state employees are admitted to the fair for free on Thursday, August 9, with the presentation of an employee ID card.
8. Free Lottery Ticket Day
If you like to play the lottery, you'll want to go to the State Fair on Hoosier Lottery Day, Saturday, August 11. All guests at least 18 years old can redeem their fair admission ticket stub for a free lottery ticket from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Lotto Town at the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand.
9. IPL Carload Day
Families and groups of friends traveling to the fair together will want to take advantage of this great offer on Monday, August 13. Admission is only $15 per vehicle for up to 10 people with voucher printed from their website.
10. Tractor Shuttle Ride Discounts for Seniors
All seniors, age 55 and older, can ride the tractor shuttles around the Fairgrounds for just $3 per day when they purchase a special wristband at the State Fair Information Booth located on State Fair Boulevard and at the Prairie Farms Information Booth located in Pioneer Village. On Golden Hoosiers’ Day, August 14, seniors can ride the tractor shuttles for free.
