2009 was declared the "Year of the Tomato" at the Indiana State Fair. Tomatoes were featured throughout the fairgrounds, but perhaps nowhere more uniquely than in these tomato can sculptures. Tomatoes represent a $48 million industry in Indiana, which ranks second in the U.S. in the production of tomatoes for processing, according to the United States Department of Agriculture.
