Much of Indiana is farm country, and nothing beats the freshness and flavor of produce bought at farmers' markets and orchards during the summer and fall. You can find a variety of fruits, vegetables, and even flowers and seasonal decorations at country stores and stands in the greater Indianapolis area. At some locations, you can even pick your own.

What would fall be without fresh apple cider and a trip to the pumpkin patch? Several Indianapolis-area farms and orchards take pride in offering apples, pumpkins, and other fresh produce for sale in the fall. Most have on-site country stores, and some allow you to pick your own produce. It doesn't get much fresher than that!
