Want to ring in the New Year in style? Indianapolis will rock with parties this year as the city ushers in a big year. Here is a small selection of the many parties going on throughout the city. Keep in mind that most parties sell out quickly so you'll want to make your plans early. Don't forget to take along a designated driver.

Stella Artois New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball

Don your favorite mask and costume and head down to beautiful Union Station. Hosted by WZPL's Dave Smiley, this party features live music from My Yellow Rickshaw, Jamestown Revival, The Michaels; a costume contest, a caricature artist, the brand new Prohibition Lounge and lots of door prizes. Local Weatherman Paul Poteet will host. Tickets range in price from $55 - $135.

Mo's Irish Pub New Year's Eve Celebration

Mo's Irish Pub will ring in the New Year with a four-course meal and champagne toast at midnight. In addition to the meal, live music will be provided by Through Being Cool. The meal is $29.99 per person. General admission to the party is $10.

Family New Year's Eve Celebration at the Indiana State Museum

Getting a sitter on New Year's Eve is next to impossible so if you'd like to go out and celebrate but need to take the kids, here's a good option. The Indiana State Museum will host its annual family celebration. This alcohol-free event will include lots of fun activities such as live music, games, crafts, magicians, and clowns. The party even includes a balloon drop for the little ones at 8 p.m. Tickets are $11 per person.

New Year's Eve Celebration at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Participate in the inaugural year of "6 x13: New Year's Eve at the IMA" and enjoy the event's dinner and entertainment. Food and beverages, champagne bar, Upland Brewing, dancing, live entertainment by the Cultural Cannibals and The Vallures. All galleries will be open for touring and six featured works of art will be acquired that evening an on display in the Davis Lab. Each work respresents an area of the Museum’s collection including Asian, Contemporary, Design, Fashion, Photography, and Horticulture. At midnight ring in the New Year and stay to enjoy late night party foods. General reservations are $125 per guest.

Jazz Kitchen's New Year's Eve Celebration

For great live music, The Jazz Kitchen's New Year's Eve celebration might be right up your alley. The party includes a dinner and dessert buffet, soft drinks, tax, gratuity, champagne toast, party favors and the cover charge. Musicians performing include Brenda Williams, Cynthia Layne, Bill Lancton, Rob Dixon, Frank Smith, Kenny Phelps and Reggie Bishop. Hard Rock Cafe Rockin' New Year's Eve

The Hard Rock Cafe will host their New Year's Eve party which will feature Brent James & the Contraband with special guests Cockeyed Clyde. The Brent James Band recently toured with Third Eye Blind. Enjoy good food, cocktails and great live music. Cost is $30 for general admisison; $95 for VIP.
