Tutankhamun: The Golden King and Great Pharaohs

USA Swimming National Championships & World Championship Trials

Walking with the Dinosaurs

The award-winning BBC series “Walking with the Dinosaurs” comes to life in this theatrical event in which the starring roles are played by 15 life-size dinosaurs, the largest being 36 feet tall and 56 feet from nose to tail. The spectacle takes the audience on a 200-million-year journey through the life and times of the dinosaurs’ reign on Earth, including the simulation of earthquakes, volcanoes, and comets striking Earth. The 96-minute show is comprised of two acts and an intermission.

The 39th annual Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration, the nation’s largest and longest-running African-American celebration, comes to Indy this month. Over 300,000 people are expected to attend the 11-day event that consists of a variety of events (see the calendar of events for details).

Animals and All That Jazz

Jazz musicians provide musical entertainment for patrons, who are also free to visit the animals in the zoo’s exhibits during this special after-hours series of events. Saxophonist Sizzlin’ Gregg Bacon teams up with the vocals of Goldie & Exquisitely Yours on July 30; jazz legend Lonnie Lester performs July 23, and the Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra features its big-band sound on July 30.
