At the end of every summer, there's a rush to buy new school clothes and shopfor supplies. One thing that might slip your mind is making sure your child is up-to-date on their immunizations. The State of Indiana does require certain immunizations and does for school entry. Below is the 2012-2013 list of required immunizations. Additional immunizations are recommended by the CDC, but are not currently required.
Required Immunizations
3 to 5 Years Old:
3 Hep B (Hepatitis B)
4 DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus & Pertussis)
3 Polio (Inactivated Polio)
1 MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella)
1 Varicella

If you need immunizations and aren't sure where to go, the Marion County Health Department offers clinics located throughout the city. The clinics offer nursing services on a walk-in basis and immunizations services. Immunization services are available as a walk-in service and by appointment on certain days.
