About the Art Center:

The Indianapolis Arts Center is an exhibition space for mostly local artists. It is open daily to the public for free.

You'll find the center at the north end of Broad Ripple Village, on the shore of White River. It's a gorgeous, Art Nouveau building set upon an expansive 12-acre campus, which contains several arts gardens displaying varied pieces of sculpture and hedge art.

The center contains 12 working studios and seven gallery spaces, which together present 50 exhibitions a year, all of which are free and open to the public, and many of which contain works of art for sale.

Education:

Each year, nearly 500 classes and workshops are open to anyone who would like to register, from children and beginners to professional, working artists.

Classes are divided into semester-length enrollment, and can be registered for at the center, online, or by telephone.

Fees for classes vary, but are moderate, ranging between the price of dinner to four times as much for a 15-week class. Subjects include all methods of pottery, ceramics, painting, jewelry making, and much more.
