The Claddagh Irish Pub has established itself as one of the top pubs in Indianapolis. Their three locations (downtown, north and Plainfield) all boast beautiful aesthetics and great food. Their menu is varied, featuring lots of Irish classics such as corned beef and cabbage, bangers and champ and shepherd's pie. On Mondays, the Claddagh offers a great deal - buy one, get one free fish and chips with the purchase of two beverages. Each location offers events throughout the month including trivia nights, djs and live music - Irish and otherwise. For over 75 years, McGinley's Golden Ace has brought Ireland to Indianapolis. Established just four months after prohibition by Irish immigrants John and Ann McGinley, the Golden Ace Inn is still owned and operated by the McGinley family, making it the oldest Irish pub in Indianapolis. Their basic menu is very fairly priced and includes their most famous item - homemade cheeseburgers. The pub hosts many events throughout the year and of course, a large tent party every St. Patrick's Day.
