For indoor fun this weekend, take your kids to enjoy the newest exhibit at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Geckos opens this Saturday, February 2 and runs through May 15. The exhibit features these "superstars of the lizard world" and is the largest gecko exhibit of its kind. Fifteen exotic and very different live species from around the globe will be on display in habitats that duplicate their natural environments. The reptiles will roam around rock ledges, live plants and waterfalls. Young children can learn more about these lizards through interactive play and live streaming video. Watch the voracious Tokay geckos devour dinner every 15 minutes as the museum provides live streaming here.
If you can't make it into the exhibit this weekend, consider next Thursday night, when the museum opens its doors with free admission. The monthly Target free night takes place February 7 from 4 - 8 p.m.
