Purdue Grads Create New Eco-Friendly App for Kids

By , About.com GuideMay 8, 2012

A new eco-friendly mobile app has been created by Purdue University graduates Kevin Lynch and Paul Conway. The two have joined forces and created Rock Out Apps, LLC. ROA's first collaboration, Slippery Seal, is an educational mobile app geared towards kids and their parents. Slippery Seal  is a game that strives to raise awareness of marine-life and ecosystems. The Harbor Seal, "Slippery" journeys along the Northern Pacific coast, dodging sharks, eating clams and encountering realistic wildlife along the way such as puffer fish, sea nettles, great white sharks and octopus. The game stays true to the movements, environment and habitat of seals.

If you are interested in downloading the app, you can get if for free right now at the iTunes store. Slippery Seal is currently available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
