Santa's Mailbox Arrives on Circle

By , About.com GuideNovember 15, 2011

The holiday seasons are upon us and it's time for your kids are probably already rambling off a list of toys they hope to receive. It's time for them to pen their letters to Santa. This season, they can fill their letters full of wishes and send them directly to Santa through a special mailbox. Santa's mailbox will be installed November 16 on the east side of Monument Circle, facing Market Street. It is decorated festively - half the box is a reindeer complete with antlers and the other half is dressed like Santa. Each year the mailbox is installed on the circle and children are invited to mail their letters off to the North Pole.

All letters will be answered by Santa personally, as long as a return address is listed on the envelope. Letters can be sent between Nov. 16 through Dec. 15. Stamped, self-addressed envelopes are appreciated. In 2010, more than 5,000 letters were sent to Santa. The holiday mailbox will be removed December 16.

If you are planning on attending the Circle of Lights event, you can take advantage of Santa's mailbox then.
