Halloween is almost here and two of the top Indianapolis family-friendly events end this weekend. If you are still looking for something fun to do for the eerie holiday, give one or both of these events a try!
An Indianapolis tradition, the Headless Horseman event at Conner Prairie has been spooking families for years. Test your bravery on the haunted hayride that winds throughout the prairie town. Enjoy the hoedown, karaoke or many of the other popular activities. To learn more about what you can expect, you might want to read my overview of the Headless Horseman event.
Tonight is the last night for the Headless Horseman. Gates are open from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $9 in advance Thursday and Sunday; $11 at the gate. Friday and Saturday tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the gate. Advance tickets can be purchased at Marsh.
ZooBoo at the Indianapolis Zoo
Combine a love of animals with trick or treating and you've got Indianapolis Zoo's ZooBoo. This popular annual event features lots of fun Halloween-themed activities in addition to the regular zoo attractions. Spooky decorations line the walkways and various trick or treating stations are set up throughout. Children are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes. Other activities include a special Halloween dolphin show, two activity pavilions, an obstacle course, costume parade and special holiday-themed rides. For more information about this event, check out my overview of ZooBoo.
Admission to ZooBoo is included with regular zoo tickets. Adult tickets are $15.25, Seniors 62+ and Youth 2-12 are $10.25. ZooBoo continues tonight and tomorrow night from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m.
