I am a huge race fan and had the pleasure of meeting Dan Wheldon once. In a matter of moments Dan had me forgetting he was the guy who had just won the 2005 Indianapolis 500. With his captivating charm and humor I found myself talking to a most gracious and interesting person regardless of his chosen career. A truly well met young man.
He made me a fan of his just like that and I am feeling his loss despite only having only a brief passing experience with him.
Godspeed.
