National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month, a good time to make sure that your family and/or household has an emergency plan for situations such as floods, fires, tornadoes, and storms. To help you create such a plan, the Red Cross has a free online education program called "Be Red Cross-Ready." The program walks you through three key preparedness steps: getting an emergency kit, making an emergency plan, and being informed. To start your plan, view this Red Cross video.
