How Do Indianapolis Residents Feel about Health Care Reform?

From , Former About.com GuideSeptember 2, 2009

One of the most hotly debated topics these days is health care reform, most recently spurred by the introduction of the congressional bill, America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009, on July 14. According to Andre Carson, whose congressional district is comprised of Marion County, Indianapolis residents are overwhelmingly in favor of the bill, in spite of the fact that mega-pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and the nation’s largest insurance company, Wellpoint, are headquartered in the district and employ thousands of the people who live there. Of the state’s nine congressional districts, Carson’s has the largest percentage of uninsured residents – 18 percent.

How do you feel about the bill? Would it be a boon or a bust to Indianapolis residents? Tell us what you think.

As a resident of Indianapolis, I find in disturbing that Andre Carson feels that his constituents back the current measures. He’s clearly out of touch.
